Main Changes
"Et al." is now used in in-text citations with more than three authors.
The words "Retrieved from" are no longer used to precede a URL.
The doi (digital object identifier) should be used instead of the URL of a library database. The doi is usually available in the citation tool in a library database.
The doi must be formatted as a URL, for examplehttps://doi.org/10.1080/10696679.2017.1389242
The publisher location is no longer listed in the citation.
E-book formats, such as Kindle, are no longer required, but the publisher must be listed.
Bias-free language, such as "their" rather than "his or her," must be used.
More fonts are acceptable.
A single space, rather than two spaces, is now used after a period at the end of a sentence.
There are now two paper types, a student form and a professional form. The student paper no longer requires the running head.
