Library: Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan

  • Martin students, faculty and staff, and community members with a valid library card can request books from other Bookmobilecommunity college libraries in North Carolina using the online library catalog.
  • When searching for a book in the library catalog, use the drop down arrow to change Martin to "CCLINC Libraries" to see items from all colleges.
  • After you perform your search, click on the title you want from the list of results.  (Some items, such as reference books and DVDs, may not be available through interlibrary loan.)
  • Click Place Hold, then enter your library card number (7-digit ID number from your class schedule followed by the letters MR) as the Username. You must come by the library and have us scan your Martin ID into our system and choose your Password before you place a hold the first time.
  • If the book is on the shelf at the lending library, it usually arrives in about a week and library staff will call you to tell you your book is here.
  • Call the library at 252-789-0238 if you need help.
  • Distance education students may set up their library account by e-mail. Students at the MCC Bertie Campus, Bertie Early College, and Bertie High School are also able to receive library books by courier at their Bertie institution.  Call the library or use the help e-mail on the library's home page to request a book by courier.  Distance education students living outside of Martin and Bertie counties may request library books by mail using the help e-mail.
